Professional Foundations & Personal Insight

Clinical foundations

With over 25 years of experience as a registered Occupational Therapist in the NHS, I bring a deep foundation of clinical expertise, skills and knowledge to my work - combining professional insight with practical, compassionate care.

I’ve supported people navigating complex challenges and major life transitions across both physical and psychological health settings - ranging from neurological conditions and long COVID to chronic fatigue, poor sleep, pain and emotional overwhelm. A key part of my work has also involved helping people return to or stay in work during or after illness or burnout - guiding them to manage their energy, mindset and workload without compromising their health.

This means I don’t just understand wellbeing in theory - I’ve supported real people through real-life change and I bring that grounded, practical perspective to every session.

Real-world wellbeing support

As an NHS Wellbeing Lead, I worked directly with healthcare professionals facing stress, emotional burnout and invisible overload - while continuing to care for others. That experience shaped how I now support women who are quietly carrying too much, yet still trying to keep it all together.

I blend the structure of occupational therapy with the flexibility of lifestyle medicine and the depth of whole-person coaching. This creates a truly integrative, tailored approach for women navigating the competing demands of work, home life and personal wellbeing.

A mind-body approach to lasting change

I use a mind-body approach to help clients reconnect with how their body feels - developing deeper awareness of the signals often drowned out by stress or distraction. I'm certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, a neuroscience-informed method that gently supports emotional and physical healing.

This approach helps clients understand what their body is trying to communicate, especially when chronic stress, pain or anxiety has made that difficult. When we build insight into these signals, we open the door to shifting long-held patterns and creating sustainable, meaningful change.

Evidence-based tools that support real behaviour change

In addition to my coaching and lifestyle medicine training, I'm also trained in several psychological approaches that enhance emotional insight and support sustainable habit change:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi)

  • Brief Solution Focused Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

These frameworks form a solid foundation for my clinical practice - helping me support women who feel stuck in stress cycles, internal resistance or patterns that no longer serve them. I use these tools not only for their evidence base, but because they offer different ways of working - helping clients make meaningful links between thoughts, behaviours and actions so they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Support you can trust, grounded in integrity

As a registered health professional with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), I follow high standards of clinical safety, ethics and quality of care.

This gives you peace of mind that you’re working with someone fully qualified and accountable - a trusted practitioner who brings not only qualifications but also empathy, clarity and integrity to every session.

My path to rebalance - from overwhelm to wellbeing

When My Body Said Stop

Several years ago, I found myself in a cycle many professional women will recognise: juggling work, family and endless demands - until my body quite literally stopped me. What started as the occasional headache turned into four months of debilitating migraines.

I kept pushing through, telling myself it would pass. But eventually, I had to face what I’d been ignoring: my health was speaking up and I needed to listen. That moment forced me to pause, reflect and completely rethink how I was living.

Reclaiming My Health

That wake-up call led me to approach my life and wellbeing differently - starting with small, intentional changes. I rebuilt boundaries, began managing stress more proactively and finally started listening to what my body had been trying to tell me. Along the way, I discovered I had histamine intolerance, which had been aggravated by chronic stress and certain foods. With the right lifestyle changes, the migraines eased and so did the sense of depletion I’d been carrying.

I learned the hard way that pushing through isn’t sustainable and that true wellbeing isn’t just about managing symptoms. It’s about listening to your body, respecting your limits and creating space for what truly matters.

Why I Created Rebalance

This experience changed not just how I live, but how I support others. I've come to see that many of the symptoms women face - overwhelm, exhaustion, disrupted sleep, low mood, headaches, chronic pain, are often signals that something deeper is out of sync.

Having worked within the NHS for over two decades, I’ve seen first-hand how time and resource constraints can make it difficult to offer the kind of holistic, preventative care that truly supports long-term wellbeing.

That’s why I created rebalance, to offer women a more compassionate, whole-person approach to health - one that blends clinical insight with lived experience and gives space for what really matters.

If you're where I was, exhausted and unsure where to begin - doing everything for everyone, but quietly losing yourself in the process - know that change is possible. I'm here to help you get there, with clarity, care and support that truly fits your life.
